Hottop and Gene as sample roasters
Many of our customers use the equipment as sample roasters for purchasing and quality control of green coffee. They are either green coffee producers, import green coffee or are roasters. The roasting machines of Gene and Hottop are cheap alternatives to a sample roaster. They are easy to use and therefore very popular.
Samples roasting with the Gene Café roaster
The strength of the coffee roaster from Gene Café (CBR-101) is that after every roast, it is ready for the next roast. So you can roast many batches in succession. You can roast 50 grams to 250 grams with the device.
Samples roasting with the Hottop roasters
The strength of Hottop roasters is that the roasts become very consistent, the roaster works very precisely and can also be programmed. In addition, they correspond in design to a drum roaster and so the developed profiles can be transferred directly to the production roaster. Learn more here. You can roast between 100 grams and 300 grams of coffee with the devices.
Since the roast is constant, you can roast different crops or samples of the same coffee one after the other and test them side by side.
The Hottop model with Artisan connection (KN-8828B-2K+)
You can connect the Hottop model with Artisan connection directly to the PC via a USB port. You can easily record and save all the roasts and combine them with your cupping profile, so you can always find the roast that best suits your bean. You can also control the roast via alarms or PID directly from Artisan.
