This elegant Ethiopian highland Arabica grows in the Sidamo Region, one of the most popular coffee origin regions. It is a garden coffee from many small family farms at an altitude of 1,750 to 2,200 meters. The fruits are selectively handpicked, and the coffee is washed and dried on special platforms. This process gives it a fine, elegant body and distinct floral notes. Since the Fairtrade certification in 2003, the cooperative is no longer dependent on private buyers and receives a minimum price for the products.

The living and working conditions of smallholder families have significantly improved.

Furthermore, various community projects have been financed with the Fairtrade premium. For example, new schools have been built, scholarships for the children of producer families have been funded. Roads and warehouses have also been constructed, and access to electricity has been provided.
