Precise determination of the degree of roasting

 

With the Tonino colour measuring device, the degree of roasting of coffee can be measured precisely. This enables to ensure a consistent quality and to compare and repeat roasting profiles. Thanks to a standardized scale, the device enables clear communication about roasting degrees, without vague terms like "light" or "dark".

The Tonino colour measuring device is developed and produced in Germany, by the same team that also developed the Artisan roasting software.

With this small, light, easy-to-use, and relatively inexpensive colour measuring device, the developers make such a device available to a large circle of roasters / home roasters.

Functionality


Preparation of Samples

Fill finely ground coffee into the espresso sieve (grind size finer than espresso)
Press the coffee grounds firmly. Apply maximum pressure and press multiple times if necessary
Important: Perform these steps exactly the same way for each sample



Switch on the Tonino by lifting it

 



Simply place the Tonino on the pressed coffee grounds to measure
